L'anno appena trascorso non è stato un anno buono per me...Problemi ad un piede m'hanno impedito escursioni che avevo in programma...Comunque Auguro a tutti gli amici del blog buone camminate...A presto! (Nella foto, le Pale di San Martino viste da Fuciade)...

King Laurin's Roses

There is a time in the Dolomites, at dawn and at sunset, when the barren rock in its incredible forms turns red. From one moment to another, we seem t0 expect the dreamlike atmosphere to turn into a fairy tale and transport us to the world of castles, kings and their realms, knights, goblins and, above all, magic. 

Not even two centuries ago, the Dolomites were still largely inexplored, with the locals going as far as pastures went. No one climbed those walls of rock that, for such a long time had been considered a home to supernatural beings and forces that had their say over the fate of the peasants that lived at the foot of what we today consider as perhaps the most beautiful mountains in the world. The harsh climate, the difficulties these people encountered while living there, but nonetheless never wanting to leave, worked heavily with their fear and imagination and created many, many beautiful stories and legends among the cultures that clashed in the region. Ladins, the original Dolomite population, were surrounded by Germanic influence from the north and Italic from the south. There is an incredible variety of traditions that change from village to village, even a distance of a few chilometres is sometimes enough to find yourself in a different dialect area.

Dear Everyone,

It's been a while since we posted something here, but breaks do happen, so it's nothing really dramatic. We have all had things to do and to deal with, but we're back and therefore expect new posts.

We hope there is still an audience for this blog and we also hope we will get some new audience as well. For the faithful, a heartfelt thank you and a promise - next time, it will not take us forever to come back.

Sulla vetta del Lagorai : Cima Cece metri 2754

ciao a tutti ,questo è il mio primo "viaggio" dentro a questo bel blog;)) si accettano consigli e osservazioni....

Il Lagorai è una vasta fascia di monti in territorio trentino che divide la Val di Fiemme e la Val Travignolo a settrentione,dalla Valsugana a sud.Essa segna una sorta di confine naturale tra le Dolomiti e le Prealpi venete,si estende per circa 50 km ,dalla piana di Pergine ,al Passo Rolle.Tuttavia la catena principale del Lagorai si estende con andamento pressochè rettilineo  dal Passo Manghen al passo Rolle.
La catena del Lagorai può costituire il terreno ideale per una fantastica traversata di più giorni,una vera alta via,chiamata "Translagorai".
Questa catena rappresenta una delle aree di maggior naturalità dell'intero territorio provinciale,includendo alcuni trà gli angooli più selvaggi delle Alpi.
Lagorai è un nome che ha radici nella parola lago,infatti numerosi sono gli specchi d'acqua alle quote più o meno alte.
Notevoli sono i percorsi di trekking attraverso sentieri,mulattiere trincee e strade della prima gurra mondiale.
U'n escursione che voglio inserire è quella della nota ,per bellezza e lunghezza,Cima Cece.

Dislivello mt. 1200 circa ------per escursionisti esperti,tratti alpinistici (ma è fattibilissimo)

La Valmaggiore è quella la in fondo,e quella stradina sterrata finisce alla malga ,da dove parte il nostro tour ; foto scattata dalla cima Moregna mt.2517 con il lago omonimo

Dalla stessa cima Moregna,lo sguardo arriva fino alla nostra cima Cece,che è quella sopra alle chiazze di neve:la nostra meta

L'Altopiano delle Pale di San Martino...

L'Altopiano delle Pale si erge ad una quota intorno ai 2500 metri circa...

Vranica

Vranica is mountain in central Bosnia which is located between cities Fojnica and Gornji Vakuf. Belongs to a chain of Dinarides. The highest peak is Nadkrstac with a height of 2112m. There are a yet few peaks in excess of two thousand meter.


From the time of Rome over Vranica led many caravan routes that connected Bosnia with the Mediterranean. The mountain is rich in ore and on it are now visible traces of the old medieval mines.

Com'era e com'è...

Potete vedere in queste due foto il ghiacciaio della Fradusta, sulle Pale di San Martino...La prima risale ad una escursione fatta nell'estate del 1996, mentre la seconda foto è stata scattata il 20 Agosto di quest'anno...15 anni...A Voi notare la differenza...
